FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where exactly is Thrive located?

The Meeting Place Plaza-199 State Route 101, Amherst, NH. We’re in the big blue building in the center of the plaza, to the left of the post office and the right of Citizen’s bank. Our entrance is on the right side of the building – the brick side of the blue building.

Can I try a class?

Yes, your first week is only $20! Try as many classes as you like. We just ask that you pre- register for your classes in advance. We limit class size for comfort. Click here to see the schedule and pre-register. It’s easy-no payment is required, just create an account for yourself and sign up for your class.

What if I’ve never done this before?

All of our classes are appropriate for beginners, with the exception of our Yoga Challenge class, which is appropriate for those with yoga experience. Sign up for your class, and just let the instructor know you’re new when you arrive at the studio.

At Thrive, our priority is to create a welcoming environment for everyone. Questions are welcomed and encouraged. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we have a lot of laughs. None of our classes are brutal – we promise! That’s just not what we do here. In all of our classes we offer options for more or less intensity and we encourage everyone to find the level that suits them on that particular day. No pressure.

What if I have special concerns – an injury, or health condition?

Our instructors are educated to provide modifications for all levels of experience, fitness and many types of injuries. In most cases, simply let your instructor know about your concerns when you arrive at the studio and listen to your body during class. If something doesn’t feel right – don’t do it! We can offer you an alternative. No judgement, no pressure. At Thrive, our top priority is to create a welcoming, safe environment for everyone. If you’d like to discuss your needs with us prior to starting class, or receive education about modifying a class type for your needs – click here to find out about a private consultation. Meet with Melissa Nurmi, RN to discuss your needs and prepare for any class type.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that will allow you to move freely. Layers are great so you stay comfortable throughout class. All of our classes can be done barefoot, in clean (indoor only) sneakers, ballet slippers or grippy socks.

What should I bring?

Bring a water bottle, towel and a yoga mat, if you have one. Don’t worry if you don’t have one- there are mats at the studio for you to use.
